Equity Edge provides simulated proprietary trading evaluations for traders who want to demonstrate their trading performance under predefined risk rules. You can choose between a 1-Step evaluation, 2-Step evaluation, or an Instant account that does not require passing a challenge first.

Challenge Rules & Constraints
Equity Edge currently offers six evaluation programs: 1-Step Legacy, 1-Step Swift, 1-Step Flagship, 2-Step Legacy, 2-Step Swift, and 2-Step Flagship. It also offers separate Instant accounts. The evaluation period is unlimited, but the profit target, daily loss limit, maximum loss, and minimum trading days depend on the program.
1-Step Challenge Rules
- 1-Step Legacy: 10% profit target, 4% maximum daily loss, 6% trailing maximum loss, and at least 2 trading days.
- 1-Step Swift: 8% profit target, 3% maximum daily loss, 5% trailing maximum loss, and at least 2 trading days.
- 1-Step Flagship: 10% profit target, 4% maximum daily loss, 6% trailing maximum loss, and at least 2 trading days.
The 1-Step maximum-loss limit is trailing and is calculated using the highest recorded balance or equity according to the applicable Equity Edge rules. The daily drawdown resets at 22:00 London time.
2-Step Challenge Rules
- 2-Step Legacy: Phase 1 target 10%, Phase 2 target 5%, 5% maximum daily loss, 10% maximum loss, and at least 2 trading days in each phase.
- 2-Step Swift: Phase 1 target 8%, Phase 2 target 5%, 4% maximum daily loss, 8% maximum loss, and at least 2 trading days in each phase.
- 2-Step Flagship: Phase 1 target 8%, Phase 2 target 5%, 4% maximum daily loss, 10% maximum loss, and at least 3 trading days in each phase.
The 2-Step maximum-loss limits are fixed percentages of the initial account size rather than trailing limits.
Trading Period
Equity Edge currently lists an unlimited trading period for its 1-Step and 2-Step evaluations. There is no maximum number of trading days specified for these challenges.
News Trading & Weekend Holding
- Legacy and Swift evaluations: Weekend holding is allowed. High-impact news trading is allowed, but a restricted 4-minute window applies: 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after the applicable news event.
- Legacy and Swift funded accounts: Weekend holding is allowed. The same 4-minute news restriction applies, and profits from trades opened or closed inside the restricted window can be deducted at payout.
- Flagship evaluations: Weekend holding is allowed, with no high-impact news restriction during the evaluation stage.
- Flagship funded accounts: Weekend holding is allowed. A 10-minute restricted news window applies, covering 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after the applicable event.
- Instant accounts: Weekend holding is not allowed. A 16-minute high-impact news restriction applies, covering 8 minutes before and 8 minutes after the applicable event.
USD high-impact news can restrict trading across all trading pairs. Non-USD high-impact news applies to relevant currency-linked forex pairs and indices.
Trading Strategy Restrictions
Equity Edge prohibits several trading practices, including:
- Gap trading
- High-frequency trading (HFT)
- Server spamming
- Latency arbitrage
- Toxic trading flow
- One-sided betting
- Hedging and group hedging
- Long-short arbitrage
- Reverse arbitrage
- Tick scalping
- Martingale
- Server-execution exploitation
- Opposite-account trading
Expert Advisors & Copy Trading
- Expert Advisors (EAs) are not permitted.
- Trade copiers are not permitted.
- Third-party copy trading and account management are prohibited.
- Copy trading between two Equity Edge Challenge accounts is allowed.
- Copy trading is not allowed on Instant accounts.
- Manual trading does not automatically exempt an account from the copy-trading rules.
Inactivity Rules
- 1-Step and 2-Step challenges: No inactivity rule is stated.
- Instant accounts: There is no inactivity rule before the first trade. After the first trade, an Instant account that remains inactive for more than 30 days can be terminated.
Account & IP Restrictions
Equity Edge requires the region associated with IP addresses used for purchasing and accessing applicable accounts to remain consistent. If a significant regional change is detected, the Risk Team may request supporting information or clarification.

Violating Equity Edge's trading rules can result in positions being closed, account termination, and loss of payout eligibility. Traders should review the firm's current Trading Rules and Terms before purchasing because rules and conditions can change.

Payout Details & Refund Policy
Payout Terms
- Payout Schedule: Every 14 calendar days after the first funded trade. If the 14th day is missed, the next payout can be requested after another 14 days.
- Profit Split: 80% standard funded accounts; 90% for VIP and Instant accounts.
- Payout Processing: Requests must be submitted before 17:00 UK time. Sunday requests are processed on Monday. Payouts are processed within 48 hours / 2 business days, provided all conditions are met.
- KYC: Required before receiving payouts. Payouts are subject to risk and compliance review.
- Payout Methods: Bank transfer and cryptocurrency.
- Instant Account Payouts: Every 14 days, 90% profit split, minimum $125 profit above the 3% safety buffer, plus performance and consistency requirements.
Refund Policy
All sales are final and no refunds are provided. The current Terms state that no refunds are issued once trading has begun.
